Finally finished

I have finally completed my Access assignment, everything from the front cover to the last query. Only thing left is comparing it with my friends' to make sure I haven't left anything out and then priniting and binding.

Now I should focus on other things like Basic Tax test the week after next. Selling my Accounting Night ticket. Those of you who want to help me out, just give me RM12 in exchange for a ticket. I'm still thinking whether or not to ask Andrew to buy me some CDs from US when he comes here for vacation. CDs are cheaper in US and I should take advantage of the weakening US dollar. I'm still considering the cost and benefits. I'm an Accounting student, you know.

Plus, I don't buy pirated CDs, well, the quality is not that good and it's stealing. No comment on downloading music online. But some sites allow you to download for free legally. Besides, I can't remember when was the last time I downloaded a song. Seems like eons ago.

Nearly lost tickets

Was in college today even though I don't have any classes today because I have booth duty. Besides, I have a photo session in the afternoon at the college swimming pool.

The weather was so hot today, after I return to the booth from the photo session, my friends noticed that my face look pale. Yeah, I have not been feeling well for the past few days.

I nearly lost my tickets and money I earned from the sale of those tickets because I forgot where I last put it and it wasn't at the place where I normally keep my tickets. But in the end, praise God, my friend found it with the money inside it.

Many people commented on the song playing on my old blog on Xanga. They said the song is nice and they like the song. By the way, the song is Teardrops on my guitar by Taylor Swift. She's a new up and coming country singer in US. Do you know that she's my age and her birthday is so close to mine?

This another song, also by Taylor Swift. It's called Our Song. Reminds me of Wang Lee Hom's Wo Men De Ge. Same title actually, if you translate Lee Hom's song to English.

Busy week

This week have been busy so I couldn't find the time to go online until now.

On Monday, spent almost the whole day in college, after attending classes, had to attend meetings for Accounting Society and Accounting Night. By the time I reached home, I had to complete my Tax homework so that it is up to date as I had to see the lecturer the next day.

It's not that I'm a bad student and had to see the lecturer but it's compulsory for all the students to see the lecturer. The lecturer just want to make sure pur homework is up to date and we understand the topic so that we would not fail this paper.

So on Tuesday morning, by the time I reached the lecturer's room, there was already a line of students waiting for their homework to be checked. Finally, it was my turn and I showed the lecturer my homework and clarified anything I didn't understand about the topic. I wanted to ask about the tax on divorce but since there were some more students after me so I decided to ask another time.

After that, it was time to attend lecture. After lecture, went for lunch with classmates. they were discussing whether or not to donate blood that day. By the way, there's a blood donation campaign going on in my college this week. I can't donate blood. It's not that I don't want to donate. I can't.

After lunch, had Accounting Night booth duty. Felt tired. I think I need a break just to relax and not do any work. Maybe in June. Can't wait for June. Wake me up when June begins and not when it ends.

Feeling sleepy now, hope you all would support me by buying tickets for Accounting Night, I still have some VIP and lots of normal ticket.

I'm hanging by the moment

The better one is by Universal music but they didn't provide the HTML code to put the video here. This one is not bad.

I'm started liking Lifehouse since I heard their single, You and me. Then I heard another song that became one of my favorites, Whatever it takes on their website. As I listen to more songs by this band, I'm starting to like this band. It has become one of my favorites on my Facebook.

The song is good but I don't really like the music video. Lifehouse - Hanging by the moment. I like the guitar though.

Another thing I found out is that some music CDs are cheaper to buy in US. But it's even cheaper to buy online. I haven't tried online shopping yet. Might try one day. One of my friend sometimes shop online and manage to buy stuff and a really cheap price.

So why am I there to show her support you must be asking. Well, she's one of our performers for Accounting Night.

I manage to get her autograph and take a picture with her too.

VIP tickets are selling fast.

Accounting Night is open to ALL. There won't be any talk about numbers and all that. Just come and enjoy yourself. There'll be a fashion show too.

10 places I would like to visit

...if only I have the time and money and probably someone to go with so the whole trip won't be so boring and to solve one problem - my indecisiveness. We might be able to share the bill to for accomodation, food and transportation.

1. New York. I know this place is expensive. But whenever you think of New York, Broadway comes to mind too. I would like to watch a musical or a play there.

2. Los Angeles. There are plenty of things to do in LA, you can visit Hollywood which would be at the top on my itinery. And if I go at the right time, I may be able to attend my favorite band/singer's concert. And the beaches there. I know there are plenty of beaches in Malaysia but beaches in other countries are just different.

3. Hong Kong. There's a Disneyland there, probably not as good as the one in US but probably cheaper. And not forgetting Ocean Park. There's also the Madame Tussauds, good food and shopping. Besides, it's easy to get around Hong Kong due to well-planned public transportation system.

4. Bangkok. I can get here by Air Asia. There's the floating market which is something, I guess, you can only find here. There are also some heritage UNESCO sites here.

5. Beijing. But prices here will rise after Olympics. I'll definitely visit the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. Then there's the Beijing opera. I'm not a fan of operas but I might watch it for the novelty of it. Maybe I'll try the Beijing roast duck.

6. Shanghai. The best time to visit Shanghai is during spring or autumn. There are also gardens and museum to visit.

7. Harbin. Visit this place during winter. The ice lantern festival is a top tourist attraction here.

8. Tokyo. The cherry blossoms are beautiful. Go during March, April or May. There are many other things to see and do here like museums and hot springs.

9. London. There are many tours here. I would look forward to the Wimbledon Lawn Museum and tour. There's also a Madame Tussauds here.

10. Langkawi. This island is a romantic getaway. Even if you're single, there are many interesting tourist attraction here like Makam Mahsuri, Underwater World Langkawi. Besides, this is a duty-free zone so chocolates are cheap here.

Results out

My results came out today. I would like to thank my Lord Jesus Christ for my results. It's really a miracle. It's totally unbelievable, bu ke shi yi. I got the highest grade for the subject that I thought I was going to fail. That subject is Management Accounting Fundamentals. I couldn't believe it that I check it thrice. I was really ill-prepared for this paper, I didn't even study finish the whole syllabus and at the last minute, I ask my senior to teach me some stuff.

Still looking for helpers for Accounting Night. 3 people confirmed with me already. Which is a good start.

For this semester, the only subject that I had to study for my exams is Basic Taxation and I tell you a method that works. Study at least 10 hours every week. Try to understand what you're studying. It's important to study consistently.

Just moved

Hi, my name is Vicky Pang Weiqi. I'm not new to blogging. In fact, I have been blogging since 15. I like reading, I have been reading a lot of books throughout my holidays. Today is the last day of my holidays. I'll be starting my 4th semester tomorrow which is also my my 1st semester for the 2nd year.

The most recent book I read is Lake with no name by Diane Wei Liang. It's an autobiography. She gives an eyewitness account to the events that happened during the Cultural Revolution in China, which was when she was born till the Student Democracy Movement and a little bit after that.

But the book was mainly about her time studying in Beijing University which is also during the Student Democracy Movement. She tells about her experience on being a part of it, the ups and down, the suffering they went through at that time.

She also tells about her love life. She loves Dong Yi but due to certain circumstances they could not be together. This gives this whole book a sad tone. I understand how hard is for 2 lovers who could not be together because of the choices they made earlier.

Overall, a good book.
